Crushin on you

So yes Valentine's Day is around the corner and of course I'm having a lil sale.  I know it is so cliche and Valentine's Day is just another 'holiday' for most business' to capitalize on HOWEVER, I do still enjoy celebrating a day to appreciate one another - there is no harm in that right?

Even if you're appreciating yourself, wink, wink.

I'm offering 25% off everything in my Eilisain Etsy Shop, use coupon code: VDAY15 at checkout to redeem.

El Diablo Rojo

I recall seeing these buses as a kid living in Panama, it is so quintessential Panama - colorful, bright and full of life.   It is sad that this icon of Panama is being replaced, so artistic and unique.
Viva Diablo Rojo!

Epona revisited

Lately I've felt a need to revisit this older collection, my first work in casting was with deer antler.  And I love and miss the texture of the antlers.

As well as the great response I get from customers that love this line.  So....maybe a re-issue of them is in order?  I just relisted the Epona ring on Etsy, so many of my my loyal customers love it.  As do I!

The Epona ring, sterling silver and 5mm alexandrite. (yes that's my hand!)
Black coral, deer antler and sterling silver, circa 2010.

And Ode to the winter season

How like a winter hath my absence been
From thee, the pleasure of the fleeting year!
What freezings have I felt, what dark days seen!
What old December’s bareness everywhere!
And yet this time remov’d was summer’s time,
The teeming autumn, big with rich increase,
Bearing the wanton burthen of the prime,
Like widow’d wombs after their lords’ decease:
Yet this abundant issue seem’d to me
But hope of orphans and unfather’d fruit;
For summer and his pleasures wait on thee,
And thou away, the very birds are mute;
Or if they sing, ’tis with so dull a cheer
That leaves look pale, dreading the winter’s near.

Naughty Narrative: Lives Revealed

Along with a fantastic roster of presenters and workshops at the ECU Symposium, there will also be a slew of, what promises to be, amazing exhibitions.  Most of the exhibitions will be opening on Friday night, January 16th and run through the month.  One of them is Naughty Narrative: Lives Revealed, curated by my good friends Danielle James and Andrew Kuebeck, both very talented metalsmiths and educators.

The exhibition will take place at Art Avenue and will have some, maybe NSFW pieces.  I'm really looking forward to seeing what pieces will be in the show!

Poster/postcard for the exciting event!
