Geod talon Ring - New in my Eilisain Etsy shop

Just finished polishing and setting the geod in this fierce owl talon ring.  The talons make a great way to capture a stone. 

This ring is a size 8 and made of manganese bronze and the shank is sterling silver.

New items in my Eilisain Etsy shop

Been working fast and furious these past several days, trying to catch up with work in the studio.  The large faux gauge talon earrings are a custom order and I'm quite pleased with them.  These larger earrings are definitely heavier than the small gauge earrings but they still work and are definitely fierce!

 Since I was casting in silver I thought, why not make the double owl talon earrings as well?   It's funny how I now respond to silver since working in bronze, they both have unique properties.  Silver in it's liquid form is so much more fluid and melts fast in contrast to manganese bronze which takes longer to melt and is more volatile.

It's silly how happy and excited I get when I'm featured on a blog or Treasury list, but I do!

Etsy customer Gloria Cheng of Texas suggested I make faux talon gauges, which I'd been thinking of doing for awhile but her request spurred me to do it. Here is an awesome post in Gloria's blog and photo of her wearing them!

Then I got an email from Brigita, another Etsy seller of my Deep Sea Ammonite pin featured in her Deep Sea Treasury

I couldn't think of a better treasury and the color scheme is so perfect.

Talons caught a garnet

Just listed, plan on using more stones with the talons.

Displayed on a deer antler I decorated.

Most of my jewelry, specifically the Hunted line can be made in most metals (silver, bronze, brass and even gold) but I primarily cast it in manganese bronze first because it's been popular.

Faux real

I'm so excited about these earrings, faux gauges!

These beauties are a custom order from Rebecca in Colorado; I'd had several recommendations to make faux gauge and gauge earrings but just hadn't gotten around too it.

I'm very pleased with the way they turned out, especially in the silver.

Owl talon cocktail ring

Oh yes, I could rock this with a black pencil skirt and snazzy top - nice and shiny talon bronze makes an outfit. This ring is similar to the one I made previously but is cast entirely in manganese bronze. In addition, the entire shank is the actual skin of the upper talon.

I just love a giant cocktail ring.

The Hunted - New Earrings in my Etsy shop

I've been grinding away in the studio lately - early morning hours are when I'm most productive and it's been wonderful - to creatively expand and float on with new materials....like resin!

Resin making has been on my mind since last semester, when I created two brooches, one using resin. This time I used a special ingredient in addition to using my new molds - talons!!!

I'm loving the aggressive and edgy look of talons. I've got more work coming but for now you can purchase these lovelies on my Eilisain Etsy site.
