The shared collective

Last week I was in Atlanta for the American Craft Council show and I had such a great time and met so many cool people.

Thus I want to share with you that when I participate in craft shows, the best part of them is meeting other artists and sharing our experience and knowledge.  Of course I enjoy meeting new customers and participating but seriously, I so enjoy getting to know other artists and finding out how they balance a creative life with family and life demands.

We all share the collective hardship of trying to be successful.  So sharing a booth with five other people was fun and made the show so much better!

Meet Ms. Ruby, she stole the show at our booth!

All of my neighbors and Hip Pop artists were so cool! Niki Frisk the booth behind Ms. Ruby is an aerialist!! I mean, how cool is that and she lives in New Orleans.  Then there was Jim Charles with his beautiful pearl and plastic necklaces and earrings, he was the lone male in the show.  And so many other amazing people.

I am looking forward to the next Hip Pop show!

Going swimming next month

It's a fun play on words for my venture into wholesale tradeshows.  I'm so nervous and excited that I'll be going to Las Vegas next month to participate in Pooltradeshow.

They say that you have to take risks when you run a business and this is one that I'm praying will pay off.  Sometimes it can be very tricky to know where to invest your money when it comes to shows; as you know I learned alot last year from participating in smaller craft shows.

This year my goal is to broaden my market and get directly in front of buyers.  So here it goes, next month I take a big trip to the city of Sin!

Here is a fun poster I designed for the show, with my booth number.  And psst. if you're a buyer maybe I'll see you there.

Two more shows to go

Whew....are you feeling as busy as I am? I do love the holidays but as a jeweler and business owner it is seriously the busiest and craziest times of the year.

I'm trying to balance time with family and also getting all these orders out the door.  The post Thanksgiving shopping was in full effect and I'm so grateful for all our dedicated customers and followers that purchased Eilisain Jewelry.

With that said, there are still two more holiday shows we're doing and about 4 days to increase our inventory.  I'm lucky though because having an assistant makes it a whole lot easier!

Anywho, I wanted to remind you that we will be in Columbia, SC for Craftyfeast in 2 weeks and we can't wait!  Here is the link to the FB event invitation if you'd like to RSVP.

We hope to see you there and stay lovely!

The Art of Dressing Fashion Show

Ya'll know I love fashion and the small community we have in Greenville of fashionistas are gathering for this fashion show organized by my good friend Wes Nicholson.

The fashion show and installation will be benefiting the T.W. Nicholson MD Medical Education Endowment Fund, I love that the proceeds will be going to such a great cause.

The fashion show will be on Thursday, September 24th at the Greenville Museum of Art.  Tickets are only $35 - you get a fashion show, drinks, appetizers and like I said the proceeds go to such a great cause.  You really couldn't ask for more.  I'm super excited to be attending, it's rare that these fun and great events happen in Greenville, in the name of fashion of course!

You can RSVP for the event here and purchase tickets at Better Retailers in Greenville.

Thanks for reading and I hope to see my local Greenville friends there!
As always, stay lovely!

Curbside Cookoff here we come

And the fall events begin!

I was invited by the DMV Food Truck Association to participate in this fun event with other artisans and boutique trucks.  I'm always willing to try something new.  It's also going to be fun as my sister in law will be helping me that day, I love mixing work with family & friends.

DC will always be home to me and it's great to go back and revisit old haunts and see old friends.  Plus I'm very much looking forward to trying all the delicious food!

My most popular item, The Hunted II talon cuff will most definitely be on sale at the event.
Thanks for reading - stay lovely!

I've never done a show in Raleigh and I'm really looking forward to it, despite having just got back into town from Art Star in Philadelphia which was a blast! Whew, it is definitely show season.

If you're in the Raleigh area please visit my booth....which I don't know which booth I'll be at but I'm sure you can find me!

Indie Craft Experience (ICE) Atlanta

Summer show season is getting closer and I'm pretty excited about the new cities I'll be traveling to, such as Philadelphia (Art Star Show) and Atlanta.  I got news Sunday night that I was accepted, along with the Lucky Owl Shop to the Indie Craft Experience (ICE) in Atlanta on June 6-7th!

I haven't been to Atlanta in over 7 years, last time I went was for the True Colors tour for the Human Rights Campaign.  And I didn't really get to experience much of Atlanta because I was there for work - and of course going again for work but still I'll be a bit more flexible with my schedule so I can squeeze in some sight seeing.   I'm also looking forward to sharing a booth with fellow maker Amanda Adkins, of the Lucky Owl Shop.  It'll be less stressful and financially softer to share the experience of working within the same booth with Amanda.  Plus our work compliments each other so well!

If you're in the area that time, I hope to see you there! And thank you for reading.

Beer and Jewelry, always a happy combination

This will definitely be a fun event to work at, the DC Craft Beer Festival, next Saturday on November 22, 2014 at the Washington DC Convention Center.  We were approached to be a vendor and after mulling it over, I thought it'd be a great time and since I have friends and family in the DC area why not make a trip of it!

I'll have pieces from all of our popular collections, the Hunted, Vespa, Valkyrie and Asteria Collection.  I do love the variety and ability to provide a wide collection of pieces that suit any person, male or female.

So I hope to see you there!

A couple of things

I've got some great events coming up, and per usual I'm scrambling to get things done, like jewelry, displays and so much more.

One event I'm looking forward to is Crafty Bastards in Washington DC.  It's been roughly 6 years since I attended my first Crafty Bastards and I loved it, great art, food, music and more.

I'll be at booth #71 and stocked with all my new and most popular pieces.  I hope to see you there.
