Welcome to my blog, where I document my process in making jewelry, muse on the influence of art and the joy of making beautiful objects.

Vexta

Last week my friend Tara Locklear (she's posted on here I'd say every couple of months!) introduced me to the street artist Vexta (Tara will be working on a joint project with her sometime this year) and I really enjoy her pieces and invitationals.

So I thought I'd share some of her videos of the projects she's done.  Vexta is known in the graffiti community as super talented for cutting her own stencils. Below is a video of a momento mori project.  I just love this idea of the eggs and painting birds on them.

As always thanks for visiting!

El Diablo Rojo

I recall seeing these buses as a kid living in Panama, it is so quintessential Panama - colorful, bright and full of life.   It is sad that this icon of Panama is being replaced, so artistic and unique.
Viva Diablo Rojo!

Spray can fun

This weekend Uptown Art Supply & Gallery is hosting another fun live spray can event but this time there will be BMX riders and contestants will receive 6 cans of Montana gold spray paint.

If you're in town this Saturday from 11-9pm, come and check it out - should be a blast!! The live spray event will be from 1-5pm. I just might enter to create some cool wall art.
